The SportsInfluencer GASO Fall Shootout 2018 Report

This past weekend I had the privilege of scouting the GASO Fall Shootout 2018 which featured over 80 High School teams statewide and over 1,000 High School players competing in front of college coaches and Media. Shoutout to the legend Mike Kundstadt, Blue Zertuche, Sam Lowe and the Texas Hoops GASO staff for the hospitality and for a great event this weekend. Big shout out to all the College Coaches, Media, and High School teams on the scene. This event served as a preview of what our area teams will look like this season and based on what I saw we're in for another great season of High School Hoops in DFW. The 2Metroplex is loaded with talent once again & here's a few names who stood out over the 2-day event as well as some headlines and video highlights:

My Takeaways from the Fall GASO 2018:

-South Garland's stellar play w/o it's stars.

Keyon Craddock, Jayden McGrew, and Jordan Chambers stepped up BIG to lead the charge for South Garland in the absence of its stars, Tyrese Maxey and Chris Harris,Jr. (Both were on coaching duty at the GASO!). Big time confidence booster for a team with state title aspirations headed into the 2018-19 season.

-Kimball, Timberview, Lancaster are all DEEP and TALENTED and are legit title contenders this season

-Defending Champs Allen have reloaded led by the backcourt of Colorado St commit Isaiah Stevens , 2020 guard Thailand Elder, and 2021 Mason Gibson ; best team morale I've seen in a long time

- Dallas' St.Mark's School is must see group for coaches this season! Led by national top 50 prospects Harrison Ingram '21 & Collin Smith '22, D1 prospects Andrew Laczkowski '20 and Noah Shelby '22.

-The Lewisville Farmers are LEGIT and feature several prospects including a tough trio of guards, 2020 Guards KJ Pruitt and OC Girtmon, and top 25 2022 G Keyonte George

-Mesquite Horn is for real this season featuring prospects Preston Aymond and DFW POY candidate Zaakir Sawyer

-Denton Guyer (trio of Jalen Wilson, DeVion Harmon, and Jakobe Coles are already playing at a very high level

- Keyonte George, Collin Smith, Dorien Goodman are 3 diaper dandies you need to know

-Sophomores Wade Taylor IV and Harrison Ingram continue to play beyond their years and prove why they’re high major D1 prospects. 2 of the more talented, skilled young players in the state

-Duncanville’s 2020 F Micah Peavy and Allen’s 2019 G Isaiah Stevens are certified Dudes!
